    The Tan Chong Group was originally founded as a small motor vehicle distributor in the 1950s. Up to now, Tan Chong has developed into one of the leading automobile groups in Malaysia, and is present in many countries around the world. Tan Chong Group's business activities are diverse with many fields including: Automobiles (assemblying and distributing cars; providing after-sales services; financial services related to buying, renting, and insurance vehicles; franchiseing and exclusive distribution of commercial vehicles and passenger cars); consumer goods, tourism, distribution of heavy industrial equipment.

    In Vietnam, Tan Chong Group has been active in the automotive industry for more than a decade and is one of the largest Southeast Asian investors in the country.     ABOUT TRUCKQUIP

    Truckquip Sdn Bhd (abbreviated: TQ) is a member of Tan Chong Group, established with the main function of providing truck and bus services for the group including: technical support, product development, new business development, specification selection, research and development (R&D).

    In 2013, Truckquip expanded its business model to the field of chassis manufacturing and chassis assembly, and built its first production plant in Seri Kembangan, Malaysia.

    In 2023, the first light truck product line was launched in Vietnam, marking the cooperation between China (Truckquip - under Tanchong Group - Malaysia) and Wuling (SGMW - China).

    ABOUT WULING

    In 2002, Wuling officially became part of SGMW Group - a joint venture between three major corporations including SAIC, General Motors and Wuling Motors. The company's headquarters is located in Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province, China. Here, SGMW assembles and manufactures small trucks, small vans under the Wuling brand and tourist vehicles under the Baojun brand.

    In China, Wuling sales in the last 5 years have reached from 450 thousand vehicles/year. Especially in 2021, it achieved sales of more than 1 million vehicles/year. Among them, accounting for the largest proportion is Mini EV electric cars with sales of 426 000 vehicles, ranked 2nd is Wuling Hong Guang light trucks (N300P) with 255,000 vehicles/year.

    In Indonesia, the Southeast Asian market has many similarities with Vietnam, Wuling has lauching 2 MPV/ Van Wuling HongGuang S1 products, fast growth sales and the largest sales in 2021 with 255,000 vehicles/year.
